Kick Off Success! We had a fantastic time on October 20 at this season's kick-off party. Of course, this was mostly due to our fantastic hosts, Bill & Carla. One look at the photo below will tell you why the party was an unparalleled smash hit. Click on the picture on the right to see some other shots from the party.

Ready to Rock & Roll for '07-'08!We have a great season planned for the club! Check out the trip-dates and prices in the table below and look for more details on the Schedule Page. Of course, we had another great season last year. We always do. Unfortunately, we did not get as many pictures as we usually do but there are a few which you can look at in our Gallery. (And please send me any photos you have that you'd like posted on the site!) Address for the Ski ClubPlease send all payments and other correspondence to Mimi at our new address:
Albuquerque Ski Club The Ski Club SkinnyHere's the basic info. Please check out the Schedule Page to get all the details about these trips (deposits, due dates, special pricings, what these features are all about etc.). Please feel free to e-mail us if you have any questions or comments.
Get Your Dues Back!We are continuing our New Member Referral Incentive program again this season! Introduce someone new to our great club. If they pay season dues ($25) and go on at least one trip this season, you get your $25 dues deducted from the trip of your choice this season. So, check out our many photos to remind you of how much fun we have, then think of some friends to invite along this season! You can also download our Club Poster to hang around at work, school, gym, Whole Foods etc. Help Us Keep in Touch with You!Please let us know if any of your contact information has changed. You can fill out our handy online form to make sure that we've got your latest details. This is also a great way to let us know which trips you are interested in and to ask us any questions. Crested Butte & Wolf CreekIn an attempt to make more money, the folks at Wolf Creek made some changes that have made it less-than-worth-it to go there in December. So, we've put our Wolf Creek trip at the end of the season and our Crested Butte trip at the beginning. The Crested Butte trip with be THREE DAYS OF SKIING! for only $10 more than last season's CB trip. Can't beat it! Durango Back-Country - TBDThis is snowcat skiing. It's pretty straightforward. A snowcat takes you up the mountain in the back-country, then a guide leads you down into fresh powder all day long. You make your own new tracks each and every run! Bill went two years ago and raved about it so much that we put together a little Club trip last season. About ten of us from the Ski Club went up in cars. We skied the main resort on Saturday and then seven of us did the snowcat thing on Sunday. It was Awesome!. Al (a long-time clubby and former board member) said, "That was the best skiing I've ever done in my life!" This trip is essentially "Durango Two" but with the added option of a day of back-country for those who are interested. Anyone not up for that can ski the main mountain (or just hang around of course). This will not be a bus trip but we will carpool up to Durango, sharing gas costs etc. Last year we stayed in the DoubleTree and were entirely on our own for all food. So the cost for this trip is somewhat variable. The cost for one day of back-country skiing was $200 last year. We will let you know if that price has gone up. Please contact us with any questions you might have. Utah - TBDIt's been a while since we did a plane trip! We've tried to put something together in past seasons and never had enough interest to make it fly but this season, we are going to do it no matter what, even if it's only the board members who go! We don't have all the details yet but we're looking at Alta. Most likely, this trip will cost around $500 in addition to the flights (so save up those frequent flyer miles!). Let us know if you're interested. The trip will happen regardless. However, more people means more chance of group rates/discounts. Ski Club T-ShirtsLast season we made up some club T-shirts. They were a big hit and we sold out! If you didn't get in on the action and would like one of your very own, please let us know. We need to have some idea of interest before we invest in having more made. They're $18 each. Click here to see what they look like. Check Out Our Friends
Once again we will be partnering with another local club: This means that dues-paying members of one club can go on trips of the other club without having to pay their dues or other non-member fees! Check out their web site! They have some great trips and events (skiing and otherwise) that you may want to look into. Many Thanks to Our Sponsors! We are very grateful to our sponsors below who donate food & drink for our trips.
