Some details are subject to change.

NOTE: When you send in a deposit for a trip, you need to let us know a few things:

  • Would you like to have a room by yourself? Our trip prices are based on double occupancy and a private room costs more (can be an additional $100 or more). We only book two private rooms for each trip in our pre-season planning. The closer we get to a trip, the less likely it is that we will be able to accomodate a request for a private room. Please let us know as early as possible.

  • Are you only going along for the ride but won't be skiing or boarding? Most (but not all) of our packages allow for a reduced price if there's no lift ticket. (Check out our FAQ if you have any questions. If you still can't find the info you need, please contact us.)

This season marks our Fourth Annual "Surf's Up at Crested Butte" theme. Last season, we had nearly all the gang decked out in Hawaiian shirts, leis, etc. right over their ski outfits! Make sure to get yourself a large, loud shirt, grass skirt, etc... Prizes will be awarded for the best Aloha Spirit.

We'll be staying in Crested Butte town again this year at the Old Town Inn. There are free shuttles every fifteen minutes back and forth from the base area. Old Town Inn provides a continental breakfast.

Telluride 2008

February 7 - 10, '08
(Three-Day Trip!)
Bus leaves at 4:00 PM on 2/7/08 (more info below...)
Price: $510 Deposit of $225 due by 12/21/07
Full balance due by 1/18/08
Please try to get payments in on time. Thanks!
Non-Skier: $420 Private Room: $730
Special Trip Feature: Wine & hors d'oeuvres Party

The Telluride trip is almost always the favorite of the season for three reasons:

  • It's a three-day trip! (Yes! Three days of skiing!)
  • The mountain is fantastic, with a wide variety of terrain to choose from.
  • The town of Telluride is just plain fun -- great food and nightlife.
  • Our annual Wine and hors d'oeuvres Party

The town-side of Telluride is steep and legendary. The Plunge is world-famous and everyone should ski it once, for the view if for nothing else! But do NOT think this mountain is all diamonds and double-diamonds. While there are plenty of very black runs, lifts 4 and 10 serve nothing but blues and greens. The runs of lift 10 are long, slow cruisers, past the vacation homes of the rich and famous. The resort also recently expanded with two new lifts and a 50% increase in Intermediate trails.

It's just a short walk from our accommodations to the Coonskin lift and you can ski directly to your room (or even to the hot tub if you've got 'skills') at the end of the day! There are regular town shuttles, but it's also a fairly short walk to incredible food and fun in town. The town of Telluride is what distinguishes this trip from all the others. A comfortable cross between Old West and Bohemian Hip.

Friday, after skiing and tubbing, we have a wine and hors d'oeuvres party at "Club 213" (Bill's room) where everyone brings a bottle (or two) of their favorite wine to share and Bill provides some great food (as usual). Some of us even make it out for more fun (dancing, etc.) after that.

Wolf Creek 2008

March 14 - 16, '08 Bus leaves at 5:30 PM on 3/14/08 (more info below...)
Price: $240 Deposit of $100 due by 1/25/08
Full balance due by 2/22/08
Please try to get payments in on time. Thanks!
Non-Skier:   $160 Private Room:   $320
Special Trip Feature: Vintage Outfits!

We always have a great time at Wolf Creek! They've got the most average snowfall of ANY AREA in Colorado (465")! We still can't understand why there are never any crowds or lift-lines at Wolf Creek but... there aren't! Perhaps it's due to the quad chair that now services the Waterfall Area.

In addition to the great skiing, there are hot springs right across the street from our motel and if you work hard, you might even be able to find a little nightlife (not so easy in Pagosa Springs although we've had fun with karaoke the last few seasons...). Our accommodations include a complimentary Continental Breakfast.

The Special Feature for our Wolf Creek trip is Vintage Ski Outfits. Go retro! Pull out your old day-glo ski suit (or make a trip to Savers). This will be our third season doing the Retro Wolf Creek thing. Step up to the vintage/retro challenge! (Or, you can be part of the "accidentally retro" crowd...) .

Prizes will be awarded for the best vintage outfits.

DMR Back-Country 2007

Dates & Prices TBA

This trip is all about POWDER! We had heard about this snowcat outfit and Bill gave it a test run a couple seasons ago. It was so fantastic that we made it an official trip and this season will be our second go at it.

One day of Snowcat Skiing was $200 last season and should be something like that again this time (we'll post the exact price as soon as we know). So, the final price of this trip depends on a number of variables: where we stay, if you pay for a lift ticket on the non-snowcat day, meals, your share of the carpool fuel, etc. However, you can count on around $300 at least, probably more like $400.

Please keep in touch if you are interested in joining us for this trip.

The trip is not only for back-country skiers! If you can't make the first Purgatory trip or if you want to hit it a second time, you can come along and ski the main mountain both days. Last season, several people used up left-over passes that they had.

Stay tuned for more details!

The Club's Maiden Voyage...

We all skied Durango Mountain on Saturday and had a lot of fun. Then seven of us did the snowcat thing on Sunday. The first couple runs were fun but... nothing super fantastic. But before we could really start feeling disappointed, the guide took us to a different ridge and there we encountered heaven. We all whooped and hollered and grinned uncontrollably the rest of the day. It was easily some of the very best skiing I've ever done. Our buddy Al (who's done helicopter skiing) said it was the best skiing in his life, ever!

You definitely want to join us for this one!

We have a handful of pix.

Utah 2008

Price & details to be announced...

This will be a plane trip most likely to Alta. Bill and John did a little trip of their own a couple years ago and stayed at The Goldminer's Daughter which is right at the slopes, includes meals and some nightlife. Skiing and accomodations (with meals) will be about $500 for two days of skiing.

We have talked about and tried to promote trips like this over the last several seasons but they have mostly fallen through due to lack of interest. This time, we are not basing the survival of the trip on getting enough people to get a group rate. While that might be nice to achieve, we are more interested in going SKIING! So this trip will not be canceled and will happen even if only two people go.

Stay tuned for more details!
